Gridiron Showdown in Germany: Sealand Nationals Take on Hamburg Huskies (April 6th)
Sealand News
I remember a time before the Seahawks. At least I think I do - it was only just over a month ago we were in Glasgow with the Masters and the Shehawks and it wasn’t much before then in November that the Nationals were in Palma playing the Voltors.

Well, the fun doesn’t stop, as the Nationals travel for the first time to Germany to play the Hamburg Huskies on the 6th of April.

Nick Benning will be continuing his role as Head Coach and will be looking after the defensive side of the ball, with me stepping up to be the offensive coordinator.

Captains on the day will be Quarterback Oli DeRuyter, Receiver Chris Green, Linebacker Rowan Milner and Defensive Lineman Michael French.

I spoke with HC Benning and he had this to say: “I’m looking forward to a fantastic opportunity to take the team to our 7th country for a game against a quality opposition. Hamburg is one of the famous homes of European American Football and it's an honour to have the chance to play there"

I personally can’t wait to get there and play the Huskies, who are a very well established team who are coming into their thirtieth year this year and then do as the Seahawks always do and go have a massive night out with them afterwards- plenty of steins of beer and pretzels!

Hopefully we do the Principality proud and bring back another win for Sealand.

- Sir Mike Ireland of Sealand, Seahawks President.
