The Principality is grateful for the comments concerning the commissioning of this navigational aid received during the formal consultative period from July to December of 2001.

Exceptionally, belated comments have now been received from a neighbouring State a month after the closure of that consultative period. The Principality considers it important to consider these comments. In that connection, the final commissioning of Sealand Light has been temporarily suspended during a further exceptional consultative period of 60 days.
