Principality Notice
PN 013/01: Call for stamp designs

Sealand celebrates its 35th year of independence as a sovereign state in the
year 2002.
To commemorate this event, the Principality Bureau of Posts Telecomms and
Technology is to issue a special Anniversary stamp issue. Denominations will
be 10c, 20c, 50c, 60c, 70c, $1.00, $1.20, $1.50, $2.00, and $3.00 [10 face
values in all].
The Bureau seeks designs from interested persons to use for this special issue.
All art should be in the aspect ratio 1:1.5; final stamps will be 3 cm by
4.5 cm in size. Designs may be of any appropriate style but should
incorporate the country name [Sealand or Principality of Sealand] and
in addition the word "postage" for denominations up to the value of
$1.00 and the words "air mail"
for other denominations. Original designs should be submitted on A4 size
paper or, for the USA, paper of 8.5 by 11 inches in size. They should be
posted to
the Bureau to arrive in Sealand no later than 28 February, 2002. All
submissions will be acknowledged.
The Principality will give precedence to submissions made by persons [or by
school classes comprised of pupils of] from age 8 to age 14.
All submissions should be posted in an envelope marked "anniversary stamp
issue" and addressed to the Bureau of PTT, SEALAND 1001, Sealand Post Bag,
IP11 9SZ, UK. Submissions should be unfolded.
